The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing a comprehensive development strategy that expands donor engagement, diversifies revenue streams, and supports the long-term sustainability of the organization's mission. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader with a proven track record in fundraising, including the cultivation of major gifts and corporate partnerships. The VP will work closely with the President & CEO, the Board of Directors, and the senior leadership team to ensure that the development function is aligned with the organization's goals and that the mission is effectively communicated to the community. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Development include developing and implementing a multi-year fundraising strategy, overseeing all aspects of philanthropic revenue generation, and managing a team to ensure the efficient use of resources and consistent financial forecasting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and at least 10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a strong network within the philanthropic, business, and civic communities. They should be adept at building and maintaining relationships, have excellent communication skills, and be able to foster a culture of philanthropy both within the organization and the community. The role demands a leader with a passion for the mission, the ability to work collaboratively, and a commitment to the values of the organization.
