Vice President of Estimating and Business Development About the Company Well-regarded contractor providing earthworks, demolition & soil remediation services Industry Construction Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Estimating and Business Development to lead its commercial and preconstruction activities. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the executive team, driving strategic growth, and overseeing estimating operations. This role requires a hands-on executive with a strong background in heavy civil, demolition, and earthwork construction, who can blend technical expertise with strategic vision to ensure profitable growth and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include leading and mentoring the estimating and business development teams, developing and implementing strategic growth plans, and partnering with leadership to secure new opportunities. The role also involves overseeing bid strategy, proposal development, and managing marketing and brand initiatives. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in estimating, business development, or executive management within the relevant construction sectors. A proven track record in executing growth strategies, strong financial acumen, and expertise in forecasting and market strategy development are essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in TxDOT, airport, bridge, grading, abatement, and/or major earthwork projects, and be adept at managing estimating teams and project pursuit efforts.
