Position Title Vice President of Financial Operations Position Summary The Vice President of Financial Operations is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, transaction management, and operational finance functions to ensure efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and scalability. This executive role focuses on optimizing financial processes, strengthening internal controls, managing operational risk, and supporting enterprise-wide financial performance. The position plays a critical role in aligning financial operations with strategic business objectives and long-term growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the financial operations strategy aligned with organizational goals Oversee core finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury support, payroll coordination, and financial processing functions Establish and optimize financial controls, operational procedures, and compliance frameworks Monitor financial workflows, transaction accuracy, reconciliation processes, and reporting activities Partner with accounting, treasury, FP&A, operations, and executive leadership teams to improve financial efficiency Drive automation, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives within finance operations Support budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management, and operational financial planning activities Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audit standards, and corporate policies Identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities across finance functions Build and lead a high-performing financial operations and shared services team Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred) 10+ years of experience in financial operations, corporate finance, accounting operations, or treasury management Strong expertise in financial controls, operational finance, and enterprise process management Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, and process automation tools Proven ability to manage large-scale financial operations in complex organizations Excellent leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Core Competencies Financial Operations Management Internal Controls and Compliance Treasury and Transaction Oversight Process Optimization and Automation Financial Planning Support Executive Leadership and Operational Strategy Work Environment Corporate or hybrid executive work environment High collaboration with finance, accounting, treasury, operations, and executive leadership teams
