About The Role We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-performing video content across various social platforms and paid channels, with a primary focus on performance marketing ad creative. This includes designing direct-response video ads aimed at driving user acquisition and conversions, as well as producing brand awareness content and supporting key product launches. The role involves working on both short-form content (such as TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and long-form videos (YouTube, LinkedIn), playing a critical role in shaping Mirage’s visual storytelling and ensuring each piece of content is optimized for maximum engagement and impact. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for pacing, format, sound design, and storytelling, with a deep understanding of social media trends and audience behavior. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including creative strategists, performance marketers, designers, and content creators, to deliver compelling content that aligns with campaign goals and drives measurable results. Qualifications Prior experience as a video editor in an agency, in-house team, or post-production studio, with exposure to performance marketing or direct-response ad creative Proficiency in digital video editing tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma Strong understanding of visual and interactive design principles, including motion, typography, layout, and color theory Experience editing both short-form and long-form content tailored for social media platforms and advertising campaigns Deep knowledge of internet culture, social media trends, and audience engagement strategies Ability to interpret performance data and incorporate insights into creative decisions, such as hooks, pacing, and calls to action Excellent organizational skills for managing video assets, project files, and templates Creative flair for sourcing footage, vetting music, and integrating motion graphics to craft compelling narratives Optional but preferred: Video shooting and production experience Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams Responsibilities Edit and produce high-converting video advertisements for paid social channels, iterating based on performance metrics and testing outcomes Create and refine engaging video content for multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and campaign objectives Adapt content styles, pacing, and formats for different social media platforms including TikTok, Reels, Shorts, YouTube, and LinkedIn Collaborate closely with creative strategists, performance marketers, designers, and content teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of video content Contribute to high-impact brand moments and product launches with polished, on-brand videos Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and templates to facilitate efficient workflow and team collaboration Select and incorporate music, sound effects, and voiceovers to enhance storytelling and emotional resonance Stay informed about emerging trends in video editing, social media, ad creative strategies, and the creator economy to foster innovative content creation Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions Commuter benefits to ease daily travel Catered lunch multiple days per week to foster team bonding Dinner stipends for late working nights Grubhub subscription for convenient meal options
