Hourly Rate Job Status Part Time Minimum Salary/Hourly Rate $17.50 Maximum Salary/Hourly Rate $18.75 West Park Cultural Center The position of Visual Art/Counselor position is available for the 24h year of our Camp Ginkgo. This four-week arts and nature camp includes visual art, photography/poetry, and theatre. Visual Art teaching artists experienced working with children are encouraged to apply. During the camp day, three Artist/Counselors engage children in projects and organize campers during meals, recreation, and field trips. The campers are divided into 3 age groups: 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Artist/Counselors are expected to create and lead a daily 45-minute project session suitable for each age group, culminating in a final presentation for families at the end of camp. The camp manager and two assistants support artist/counselors. The maximum number of campers is 30. The daily schedule Staff arrival: 7:30 am (7:00 am the first day for set-up) Camper Arrival: 8:00 am Camper Day ends: 3:00 pm Staff Day Ends: 3:30 pm (time for cleanup, reports, debrief and planning) Clearances required (child abuse, criminal history, and FBI fingerprint) Note: Compensation is $700-$750 per week.
