Job Description
Come Teach and Grow With Us We’re looking for a voice teacher-in-training to join our studio community and grow into a fully certified teacher in our methodology. This role is designed for someone who loves singing, is curious and thoughtful, and wants to become a confident, powerful teacher through hands-on mentorship and structured training . You don’t need years of teaching experience. You do need musical training, openness to learning, and a genuine care for helping singers grow. We’ll teach you the rest. What This Role Looks Like This is a paid training-to-teaching pathway . You’ll be supported every step of the way as you learn how we teach and how our students grow. Phase 1: Learn + Observe (Weeks 1–4) Observe Lead Instructors: Gain valuable insights by observing one-on-one lessons and group classes. As soon as possible, you’ll begin to participate in teaching small portions of lessons and/or classes. Collaborative Lesson Planning: Work closely with lead instructors to develop lesson plans and curriculum for both individual and group classes. Strengthen Teaching Foundations: Deepen your understanding of pedagogical principles, enhance your teaching skills, and develop strategies for working with singers at various levels. Building Rapport with Students: Learn how to create an empowering, supportive, and growth-oriented environment for students. Personal Practice: Dedicate time outside of class to work on both your own vocal technique and teaching skills, with mentorship from the lead teacher. This includes 1:1 voice lessons with a lead teacher. Phase 2: Supported Teaching (Weeks 5-12) Co-Teaching Experience: Take on teaching beginner to intermediate students in both group and individual settings. Focus on clear communication, vocal technique, and developing a personalized approach for each student. Track Student Progress: Maintain detailed notes and track progress to ensure continuous development and tailored instruction for each student. Self-Growth: Continue refining your own vocal and teaching practices, with ongoing mentorship and support from the lead instructor. Phase 3: Certified Studio Teacher (Weeks 12+) Teach independently within our studio system Use our shared teaching method with confidence and flexibility Support students in steady, meaningful vocal growth Continue growing through ongoing mentorship and collaboration Compensation Starting pay: $30/hour (Phases 1 & 2) Growth pathway with clear advancement: $30–$32/hr — Apprentice Teacher $33–$38/hr — Certified Teacher $40–$45/hr — Advanced Teacher $50–$55/hr — Senior / Lead Teacher Advancement is based on readiness, consistency, your commitment to your own singing growth, and teaching growth—not just time in the role. This Role Is a Great Fit If You: Love singing and are curious about how voices develop Want to learn how to teach in a clear, supportive system Are a recent music graduate or early-career musician Enjoy working with students of different ages and abilities Value growth, feedback, and collaborative learning You Don’t Need: Years of private teaching experience An existing student studio A fully formed teaching method We’ll help you build that here. What You’ll Find Here A supportive, structured training environment Mentorship from experienced teachers A clear teaching framework so you’re never guessing what to do A community of teachers who care deeply about student growth A real pathway from “learning how to teach” → “confident independent teacher” About Our Studio We help singers build freedom, ease, and confidence in their voice through a structured but flexible approach to vocal training. We care deeply about clarity, kindness in teaching, and helping students feel successful in their singing.
