LOCATION:WICKENBURG, AZ Wickenburg Community Hospital is a beautiful and sophisticated rural-access hospital located in Wickenburg, Arizona.WCH is a 8-bed Emergency Department, 19-bed Acute department and many ancillary services.We also have 3 Primary Care Clinics.Here at WCH, we strive to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and care.Join us today and let us be part of your success story.We offer:Full Benefits PTO/Sick Leave Wellness Benefits Wickenburg Community Hospital is a non-profit organization and qualifies for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.General Description:The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining an exemplary volunteer program to provide a supplementary workforce using volunteers, along with other hospital community outreach programs.Essential Duties:Develop strong relationships within the community to foster a positive image such that will make WCH the volunteer organization of choice.Develop and implement processes to efficiently recruit and retain volunteers.Manage volunteer hiring process (screening, Interview, required background checks, pre-employment testing, reference checking).Perform onboarding orientation and training for all volunteer staff.Collaborate with management team to develop new volunteer positions.Develop a Skill based professional group of volunteers to meet the unique needs of a growing organization.Efficiently manage the documentation process, calendaring and data collection.Manage the coordination of appropriate and meaningful volunteer experiences; assure the positions are productive for WCH.Create and plan volunteer recognition events and activities within budget.Scheduling volunteers in needed essential areas of WCH.Develop and maintain a budget for volunteer services.Communication to volunteers related to hospital news, procedures, information pertaining to their roles.Discipline volunteers when warranted, and potentially discharge.Other Duties:Clearly communicate the Mission ensuring that everyone works toward the same goals.Delegate effectively without abdicating authority.Create a positive environment where two-way communication and strong trust are established.Willingness and ability to adjust to changing conditions or priorities.Take the initiative to identify and act on problems and lead by example.Effectively communicate volunteers concerns and observations to appropriate management.Qualifications:Volunteer Management or appropriate related experience.Ability to schedule and juggle a multitude of volunteers (75seasonally) Knowledge of resources in the community.Ability to coordinate events.Demonstrate ability to present effective messages to individuals, groups and the public.Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a diverse variety of individuals.Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of employees.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Work activities may include:standing, walking, climbing, sitting, kneeling, and stooping.Ability to work on the phone and computer for at least 30% of the day..
