Position Summary Reporting to the EVP, Film Production, the VP, Film Production at FIFTH SEASON leads key aspects of the physical production function across the film slate, overseeing projects from development through delivery. This executive partners closely with creative, production, and business teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest creative standard. The role requires strong leadership, industry expertise, and the ability to influence strategic decisions while driving operational excellence across multiple productions. Responsibilities Lead the physical production of FIFTH SEASON film projects across development, pre-production, production, and delivery stages Partner closely with the EVP, Film Production and Creative teams to successfully realize the vision of each project Serve as a primary liaison between producers, showrunners, filmmakers, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution Assess production needs and establish production strategies, including organizational structures, budgets, schedules, and workflows Draft, review, and approve production budgets, schedules, and key planning documents Vet and monitor budgets, cost reports, hot costs, and production reports to ensure financial accountability and performance Ensure productions meet or exceed financial targets while maintaining creative integrity Identify risks and solve complex budgetary and logistical challenges across multiple projects simultaneously Supervise all aspects of production and implement effective systems and processes to ensure efficient operations Oversee and support the hiring of key production personnel, including line producers and unit production managers Provide leadership and daily supervision to Production Executives, Production Supervisors, Managers, and Coordinators Partner with co-productions, third-party partners, and acquisitions teams to support co-production and production service strategies Negotiate deals with producers and third-party production service companies Evaluate proposals, scripts, and production plans and contribute to the development and refinement of new projects and pitches Maintain strong communication with internal teams and senior leadership, tailoring messaging to diverse stakeholders Monitor industry trends including tax incentives, crew availability, and emerging production technologies and workflows Ensure efficient collaboration across departments to drive projects from pre-production through final delivery Travel domestically and internationally as required Job Requirements/Qualifications Prior success in planning and overseeing Film projects, working with outside vendors, extensive contacts, and the ability to cope
