Our client is a leading global financial services firm. They seek a VP of Real Estate Investments to join their Century City, California office. Responsibilities Cultivate and maintain relationships with REA investment team members, joint venture partners, and property managers Conduct financial due diligence for acquisitions, collaborating with internal teams, third parties, sellers, JV partners, and legal counsel Reconcile and analyze differences between historical cost, tax, and fair value accounting to assess asset performance and valuation Provide oversight and guidance on accounting treatment, including review and feedback on work product quality Review monthly operating results for investments, supporting fund consolidation and serving as an escalation point for reporting issues Analyze financial statements and key performance metrics such as IRR, equity multiples, and time-weighted returns Coordinate with external auditors and tax practitioners to ensure accurate and compliant reporting Prepare and review materials for internal stakeholders, business management, and investors Manage outsourced staff, ensuring adherence to responsibilities, timelines, and deliverables Requirements 8+ years of real estate accounting experience Strong understanding of historical cost GAAP, and FV reporting standards Strong understanding of complex real estate investment structures, mortgage documents, development management agreements, partnership agreements, property management and leasing agreements, and purchase and sale agreements Experience managing consultants and meeting time-sensitive deadlines CPA required Job ID # 47951 Tagged as: In-Office
