Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and attentive Waiter to join our dynamic food service team! In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional guest experiences through friendly service, expert menu knowledge, and efficient order handling. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a welcoming atmosphere. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales, utilizing knowledge of fine dining options and specials. Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and provide attentive guest relations. Handle cash transactions accurately through POS or cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting food handling and sanitation practices. Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up or breaking down dining areas. Support other team members in various restaurant operations such as host/hostess duties or food prep when required. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude focused on guest satisfaction. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining professionalism. Experience in serving or host/hostess roles within the food industry is advantageous. Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling responsibilities. Familiarity with food preparation processes and kitchen operations is beneficial. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.
