American Industrial Supply is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate / Inventory Control team member.We are a supplier of industrial pipe, valves, fittings, and industrial supplies throughout the Northeast.This position is ideal for someone who can handle warehouse work while also helping keep inventory accurate, organized, and properly located.Position Summary The Warehouse Associate / Inventory Control person will be responsible for pulling and packing customer orders, receiving and putting away incoming material, maintaining accurate bin locations, helping with cycle counts, and keeping the warehouse and pipe yard clean and organized.This role requires someone who pays attention to detail, takes pride in accuracy, and understands that good inventory control is critical to serving our customers properly.Duties and Responsibilities Pull, pack, bag, and box customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.Receive incoming material and place it in the correct shelf, bin, rack, or yard location.Verify quantities, part numbers, sizes, and descriptions when putting material away.Help maintain accurate inventory locations in the warehouse system.Identify material found in the wrong bin and move it to the proper location.Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.Report shortages, overages, damaged material, or inventory issues to management.Maintain the short list and communicate shortages to the Warehouse Manager, Inside Sales, and Purchasing.Keep warehouse shelves, bins, racks, and the pipe yard clean and organized.Dispose of cardboard and warehouse waste in the proper areas.Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as needed.Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.Assist with loading and unloading trucks.Support other warehouse duties as assigned.Qualifications Strong attention to detail.Good organizational skills.Dependable, timely, and responsible.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Basic computer skills.Ability to read product descriptions, pick tickets, purchase orders, and inventory reports.Basic math skills, including counting, adding, subtracting, and working with quantities.Prior warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, or industrial supply experience is a plus.Forklift experience or certification is a plus; training may be provided.Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs when needed.Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a warehouse and pipe yard environment.Comfortable working around pipe, valves, fittings, pallets, racks, forklifts, dust, and varying temperatures.About American Industrial Supply American Industrial Supply is a trusted supplier of industrial pipe, valves, fittings, and related industrial products.We are looking for someone who wants to be part of a growing company and help keep our warehouse and inventory running accurately and efficiently.Pay:$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
