JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE:Warehouse Clerk EMPLOYER:Lee Fish USA DEPARTMENT:Operations REPORTS TO:Warehouse Manager Summary:Lee Fish USA is a premium seafood importer bringing in daily shipments from around the world to distribute throughout North America.The Night Warehouse Clerk supports evening warehouse operations to ensure accurate receiving, picking, shipping, invoicing, and inventory processes.This position plays a key role in creating a smooth handoff to the morning team by reducing errors, improving product flow, and ensuring accurate documentation at shipment.The Night Warehouse Clerk works with urgency and precision in a fast-paced environment, supporting improved warehouse execution, minimizing shrink and picking errors, increasing inventory accuracy, and maintaining strong quality control standards.DUTIES AND Responsibilities:Supports accurate receiving of inventory at the time of arrival.Performs quality control checks with emphasis on product quality and condition.Improves receiving speed to reduce floor time and move products efficiently into storage.Follows and reinforces receiving procedures based on product requirements.Identifies receiving discrepancies and communicates issues to warehouse management and purchasing.Assists with labeling, documentation, and temperature checks.Ensures product is organized and put away accurately and efficiently.Helps maintain an efficient picking workflow with minimal interruptions.Supports clear picking cutoffs to assist with planning and efficiency tracking.Reduces shrinking, picking errors, and rotation mistakes.Picks product according to correct rotation and warehouse standards.Identifies recurring issues and escalate or corrects them.Communicates order discrepancies to warehouse leadership and sales.Provides night coverage for essential shipping tasks.Ensured orders are loaded and shipped accurately and on schedule.Supports communication regarding shipment status and route readiness.Assists with documentation and final shipment checks before orders leave the facility.Ensure customers receive invoices and weight manifests at the time of shipment whenever possible.Confirms the ERP/system reflects exactly what shipped at the time of departure.Assists with troubleshooting coding, scanning, or shipping discrepancies.Supports improvements in automated invoice and manifest processes.Maintains organized documentation and end of shift records.Performs fresh and frozen inventory tasks as needed.Supports inventory accuracy through adjustments, cycle counts, and discrepancy follow up.Completes night inventory work to reduce morning workloads and improve operational flow.Ensures accurate, timely inventory visibility for sales and purchasing teams.Conducts product checks related to aging, quality, or condition concerns.Qualifications:Previous warehouse, logistics, inventory, or shipping experience preferred.Experience in food, produce, seafood, or cold chain operations strongly preferred.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to work with urgency in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable using warehouse systems, scanners, email, and internal communication platforms.Strong communication skills; able to work across warehouse, sales, and purchasing teams.Ability to identify issues quickly and contribute to real-time problem solving.Understanding of food safety, product handling, and quality standards preferred.COMPETENCIES:Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors work to ensure quality; identifies areas for improvement.Adaptability - Able to work in a changing environment; shifts priorities based on operational needs; handles delays and unexpected events professionally.Dependability - Follows instructions and responds to direction; completes tasks on time; keeps commitments; supports extended hours when required.Communication - Clearly communicates issues, discrepancies, and needs across shifts and departments.Time Management - Prioritizes tasks effectively; maintains workflow under pressure.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Frequently required to stand and walk.Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift.Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in cold storage environments.Continuous exposure to cold, wet, and humid conditions.Exposure to warehouse equipment and moving mechanical parts.Ability to work consistent evening and late night hours (Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00 PM-12:00 AM).Pay:$23.39 - $28.16 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
