Job Description
Both day and night shifts Job Summary The Warehouse Operations Coordinator is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse and linehaul operations to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely movement of freight between terminals. This position serves as a key point of communication between warehouse staff, linehaul drivers, yard personnel, terminal managers, and transportation partners. Key Responsibilities Oversee warehouse operations involving case pulling and pallet building to ensure freight is staged and loaded accurately Maintain detailed logs of routes and trailer assignments Ensure trailers are assembled and loaded correctly according to terminal destinations and proper freight weight distribution (heavy to light) Collaborate with yard personnel and linehaul (LH) drivers to ensure drivers pull the correct trailers for their assigned terminals Ensure linehaul drivers receive the correct Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation for each load Monitor and maintain inventory of trailers and dollies while coordinating equipment availability with drivers and operations staff Communicate proactively with drivers and terminal managers regarding load updates, delays, schedule changes, or operational issues Condense and combine loads when appropriate to maximize trailer utilization and operational efficiency Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers needing assistance, operational guidance, or support getting equipment and trucks back on the road Work closely with Ruan management daily to ensure trailers are loaded in the proper order based on terminal priorities, special requests, and operational exceptions Secure loads using tie-downs and load locks to ensure freight safety and compliance during transport Perform any additional duties as directed by the Operations Manager Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, operational standards, and transportation regulations Assist with problem-solving and operational adjustments in a fast-paced warehouse and transportation environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous warehouse, logistics, transportation, or dispatch experience preferred Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and management Basic computer and documentation skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make operational decisions under pressure Knowledge of freight loading, trailer organization, and transportation operations preferred Ability to lift and move freight as needed and work in varying warehouse conditions Skills & Competencies Strong communication and teamwork abilities Attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving and decision-making skills Time management and prioritization Knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations Ability to adapt to changing operational needs Work Environment Warehouse and dock environment with exposure to varying temperatures Frequent interaction with drivers, forklifts, trailers, and warehouse equipment May require evenings, weekends, or flexible scheduling based on operational needs Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Work Location: In person
