Job Title: Warehouse Operations (QC & Routing) Location: South San Francisco, CA Department: Warehouse / Logistics Reports To: Transportation Manager Wage Range $27 - $32 Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Warehouse Operations Coordinator to support daily logistics operations. This is a hands-on role split between 45% Quality Control (QC), 50% Routing, and 5% Order Pulling, ensuring that outbound deliveries are accurate, efficiently routed, and properly prepared for delivery. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment and is comfortable balancing both physical warehouse work and administrative responsibilities. Schedule Shift Options: 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM Workdays: Sunday through Thursday Overtime: May be required based on business needs Employment Type: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available Key Responsibilities Quality Control (45%) Verify accuracy of outbound orders, including item count, product quality, and labeling. Inspect shipments to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements. Identify and resolve discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or mis-picks. Ensure all loads meet weight and cube capacity guidelines prior to routing. Maintain QC logs and report recurring issues to management. Work closely with warehouse staff to improve picking accuracy and reduce errors. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations. Routing (50%) Build and optimize daily delivery routes from the warehouse (205 Shaw Road, South San Francisco). Assign deliveries based on driver schedules, truck capacities, and delivery windows. Balance loads across fleet (Class B & Class C trucks) while staying within weight and cube limits. Prioritize route efficiency by minimizing miles, drive time, and gaps between stops. Communicate routing plans clearly with drivers and operations team. Identify and flag routing exceptions (tight delivery windows, capacity constraints, missing data). Order Pulling (5%) Assist with pulling and staging orders to support daily warehouse operations. Ensure pulled orders are accurate and properly staged for loading. Support team during high-volume periods to maintain workflow efficiency. Warehouse & Equipment Responsibilities Safely operate rider pallet jacks for product movement and staging. Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure loads. Follow all warehouse safety procedures and equipment guidelines. Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse operations, routing, or logistics preferred. Experience operating rider pallet jacks and working in a loading environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, routing tools, or warehouse systems. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment. Preferred Skills Experience with delivery routing and load planning. Knowledge of truck capacities and load balancing. Familiarity with inventory control and QC processes. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach. Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse and office setting. Combination of desk work and physical warehouse activity. Requires standing, walking, lifting, and equipment operation.
