Job Description
A warehouse operator is responsible for managing inventory, operating equipment, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods in a warehouse setting. Key Responsibilities Receiving and Processing Shipments:Unload incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and verify contents against invoices or manifests. Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and report discrepancies to management. Order Fulfillment:Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring that items are correctly labeled and securely packaged to prevent damage during transit. Equipment Operation:Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move goods within the warehouse safely. Warehouse Maintenance:Keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a tidy work environment. Communication:Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding inventory issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns. Required Skills and Qualifications Physical Stamina:Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. Attention to Detail:Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate inventory management and order fulfillment. Equipment Proficiency:Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is preferred. Safety Awareness:Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Basic Computer Skills:Familiarity with inventory management software and basic data entry tasks.
