Job Description
The Warehouse Specialist plays a vital role in overseeing the daily warehouse operations and provides hands-on leadership, ensuring that goods are stored, handled, and distributed efficiently across all warehouse locations. This role serves as a working lead, coordinating tasks, guiding warehouse staff, and supporting the Procurement Manager in meeting productivity, quality, and safety goals. The Warehouse Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, workflow efficiency, and compliance with company policies and safety standards. In addition to performing core warehouse functions, the Warehouse Specialist help standardize procedures, train team members, and troubleshoot operational issues across facilities to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement. Collaborates with multiple departments to resolve inventory issues and supports the overall operational workflow in a fast-paced setting. Working Conditions Supports daily operations across multiple warehouse locations. Manage daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of goods. Monitor inventory accuracy, productivity, and workflow efficiency across all warehouse locations. Receive incoming shipments and verify inventory accuracy. Organize products to optimize space utilization within the warehouse. Prepare orders for dispatch and maintain detailed records of inventory movement. Assist with continuous training and mentoring of warehouse staff at each warehouse location. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures. Coordinates receipt of ordered materials and department notifications/deliveries. Conduct regular stock checks, inventory audits, and assist other warehouses when needed. Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory discrepancies. Serves as a primary point of contact between warehouse teams and management. Monitors and records fuel usage, reserves, and coordinates fuel deliveries. Unpacks, labels, stocks, protects and unloads all shipping materials. Coordinates equipment pickup by departments and pulls materials for contractors. Maintains and secures warehouse. Oversees the pick ticket process – ensures pick tickets are accurately processed in a timely manner and assists with processing when needed Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and effectively. Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned. Education High school diploma or equivalent Experience 3-5 years' experience warehousing or material or supply chain management, utility industry experience preferred. Strong knowledge of inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse functions.
