About Us Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments. Air Inuit's Management and its team of dedicated employees are committed to the company's essential mission of providing safe, timely and high-quality air service to the people living and doing business in the enchanting region of Northern Quebec. Role Overview As a Warehouse Supervisor at Air Inuit, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of warehouse operations in La Grande. You will play a key role in coordinating the reception, storage and shipment of merchandise, while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Main Responsibilities Supervise, train, coach and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff. Receive and weigh various cargo. Ensure that warehouse agents follow established procedures to ensure that cargo is properly assembled and dangerous goods segregated. Carry out daily operational monitoring of performance and take immediate action to correct any shortcomings. Ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations and other government agencies. Assist the Station Manager in various tasks including, but not limited to, planning, training and disciplinary management. Provide support to warehouse agents in the performance of their duties when required. Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Carry out any other tasks required to ensure the operational efficiency of the station and the department. What Makes You An Ideal Candidate High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum 5 years experience as a warehouse agent or cargo handler. Ability to communicate in at least 2 of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English. Reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure. Knowledge of the Cargo Management System is an asset; Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Excellent customer service skills. Proven verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize tasks. Solid organizational skills. Leadership and problem-solving skills. Compensation Salary and benefits are determined according to company policy. Annual northern bonus of $11, 032 (if the position is filled by a local employee). WORKING CONDITIONS Rotational position: 15 days of work followed by 13 days off. Outdoor environment on the airport runway with exposure to various weather conditions. Physical work including handling goods and baggage. If the position is not filled locally: Air transport from Montreal as well as accommodation and meals are covered by the company for each rotation.
