Sentara CarePlex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is currently seeking a Waste Handler. This is a part time, day shift position with rotating weekends. Hours Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 7am - 3:30pm Rotating Weekends Overview Responsible for transporting all types of waste, including RMW (Regulated Medical Waste), Recycled, Solid and Sharps and Chemo, as assigned, practicing safe work habits through the appropriate use various dedicated waste containers. Must follow procedures for transporting waste per departmental guidelines. Adheres to all regulatory standards for waste collection and transport. Education High School Grad or Equivalent 1 year of previous housekeeping/ESD experience can be considered in lieu of High School education Experience Previous housekeeping/ESD experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred
