JOB Performs entry level work under the direction of the Water Conservation Program Manager. This position performs a variety of tasks related to water conservation and involves some field work in dealing with the public in transmitting the water conservation message to our city. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Provide support to the water conservation team.Carry out notifications and tracking of commercial sprinkler system irrigation system inspections.Assist with customer irrigation system evaluations.Provide basic office functions, such as computer and excel supportAttend and assist with planning and promotion of water conservation program events.Other duties as assigned related to water conservation.Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma.Current enrollment in a college or university studying the following disciplines: Biology, Geology, Geography, Environmental Sciences & Policy, Agriculture, Engineering, Communications, Public Administration or related field. Preferred Education and CertificationsAssociate’s degree in Biology, Geology, Geography, Environmental Sciences & Policy, Agriculture, Engineering, Communications, Public Administration or related field.Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and feel items, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs.
