Water Damage/Mitigation Technician Location: King of Prussia, PA Our client is a leading fire, water, and mold restoration company serving King of Prussia, the Eastern Main Line, Bala Cynwyd, and surrounding communities throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. As a trusted name in property damage restoration, our team specializes in the cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial properties, helping customers recover from water damage, fire and smoke damage, mold, biohazard events, and storm damage. We are highly trained, IICRC-certified, and committed to making every loss situation "Like it never even happened." Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including weekends and holidays because emergencies don't follow a schedule. We are seeking dedicated, service-oriented professionals who share our passion for helping people through their most difficult moments. Position Summary The Water Damage Restoration Technician plays a critical role in delivering high-quality restoration services to residential and commercial clients affected by water damage. Working under the direction of the Crew Chief, this technician performs water extraction, structural drying, equipment setup and monitoring, demolition of damaged materials, and mold mitigation tasks all in accordance with Our Client's production guidelines and IICRC industry standards. This is a hands-on, field-based position that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Emergency Response & Production Respond promptly to emergency water damage service calls as assigned, adhering to the 1-4-8 job response standard Perform water extraction, structural drying, dehumidification, and applied structural drying per Our Client production guidelines Set up, monitor, and break down drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and specialty equipment Perform controlled demolition of water-damaged building materials including drywall, flooring, and insulation as required Identify and address mold and microbial growth using approved remediation procedures Prepare rooms and staging areas before, during, and after each project Leave each jobsite clean, orderly, and in professional condition upon completion Customer Service & Communication Maintain clear, respectful two-way communication with the Crew Chief and fellow technicians throughout all projects Communicate proactively with customers to explain the restoration process, address concerns, and set expectations Report any customer complaints, property concerns, or scope changes to the Crew Chief immediately Represent Our Client professionally at all times, demonstrating empathy and professionalism to customers in stressful situations Equipment, Vehicle & Facility Maintenance Inventory and load the work vehicle with all equipment, products, and supplies required for each project Maintain a clean, organized, and road-ready vehicle at all times Inspect, clean, and disinfect equipment regularly; report damage or malfunctions promptly Complete daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle and equipment maintenance checklists as assigned Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse, office, and grounds Safety & Compliance Understand and follow all safety and risk management guidelines on the jobsite, in the office, and while traveling Comply with all safety policies outlined in the Our Client's Safety Manual Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators, gloves, and protective suits when required Install and remove containment systems properly to protect unaffected areas of the property Handle hazardous materials and biohazard situations in accordance with OSHA standards and company protocols Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs regularly Physical fitness to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods Ability to work in confined spaces, high heat, humidity, cold conditions, and environments with debris, mold, or water damage Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision Comfortable working in challenging, fast-paced, and sometimes physically demanding environments Ability to be on call for emergency response as required Preferred IICRC certification in Water Damage Re
