Water Well Driller

Job Summary The position of Driller is an operational role within Santa Rosa Well Service.A Driller has an integral role to ensure that the drill rigs, machinery, equipment and other resources are effectively operated to optimize the profitability of the company's site operations.The driller is ultimately responsible for all equipment and staff while on location.The Driller is expected to work demanding and variable hours.A Driller must report to the General Manager daily.Primary Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.The Duties and Responsibilities of a Driller are; ? to have completed training and be competent to perform work to the level required ? to exercise discretion with the level of skill required to operate a drill rig ? to be responsible for the quality of his work subject to routine supervision ? to ensure that the Job Safety Analysis and Pre-trip Inspections are completed before using the machinery ? to be able to effectively perform the prescribed preventive maintenance program on all equipment ? to maintain oxygen/acetylene tanks and ensure all equipment is fueled as needed ? to effectively supervise staff while on location to ensure proper PPE is worn at all times ? to understand that work may be required at more than one site, and to travel when required ? to complete all paperwork required and to turn in daily ? to mentor and develop staff members to perform drilling operations ? to be able to communicate effectively with management and other employees ? to understand and be able to implement Santa Rosa Well Service policies, procedures and standards ? to be accountable for all equipment through weekly inventory inspections ? to perform any and all duties assigned by the General Manager to meet Company objectives QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Minimum Requirements for a person to be appointed to the role of Driller are; ? Proven experience operating RD-20 and Super Singles ? Knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and tools.? Ability to interpret drilling plans and specifications.? Strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations.? Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.? the employee must successfully pass pre-employment Urine Analysis and random UA's as deemed necessary by management ? the employee must undertake a background check and drivers' license check before job offer is extended ? the employee must successfully complete the Santa Rosa Well Service Training Program and demonstrate an understanding of all QSE policies and procedures ? to maintain confidentiality of information to protect Santa Rosa Well Service interests and sign a deed of confidentiality Job Type:Full-time People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
