HIRING IMMEDIATELY Watercraft Inspectors:The Bonner Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking a Watercraft Inspector to work this boating season at the Albeni Falls inspection station near Preist River, ID.The objective of the watercraft inspection stations is to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species such as quagga/zebra mussels, among others.In addition to thoroughly inspecting and washing watercraft, Inspectors must document these activities, as well as engage in boater education, as well as selling Aquatic Invasive Species Stickers as necessary.Inspection stations are located:Clark Fork and Albeni Falls Dam.Currently hiring for the Albeni Falls station.Desired applicants are self-motivated, hard-working, outgoing, and have the physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods, as well as to crawl and climb under and onto boats, trailers, etc., the eyesight and sense of touch required to detect mussels, and the hearing capability to ensure communication and safety due to considerable traffic and other noise at the job site.Knowledge of local lakes and rivers, boating issues, as well as experience in use and maintenance of pressure washers is beneficial.Applicants must possess a valid driver's license.Employees will be trained in required duties and responsibilities prior to starting, and during the season.Pay is $16.20 per hour.Station hours are from dawn to dusk, and shifts range from 6 to 8 hours.Typical shifts are from 5:30 a.m.to 1:30 p.m., or from 1:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m., and will vary with changes to daylight hours throughout the season.The available shift includes weekends, holidays, and will range from 12 to 40 hours per week.TO APPLY:Please submit the following 3 items:Watercraft Inspector Application Three work references and their current contact information Please submit these items to:Bonner Soil and Water Conservation District 1224 Washington Ave.Ste 101 Sandpoint, ID 83864 Or email your information Job Types:Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Pay:$16.20 per hour Work Location:In person.
