This role is centered on the ownership, design, and management of core client and account operational data platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring that the data and workflows underpinning our wealth management client lifecycle are accurate, resilient, and fit for purpose across all consuming systems and processes. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data and platform engineer with deep experience in managing client and account data at scale within financial services. You have a strong understanding of client lifecycle workflows, including onboarding, maintenance, and account servicing, and have worked with enterprise workflow platforms such as Pega. Above all, you are an engineer who designs with resiliency at the forefront — building systems that are fault-tolerant, recoverable, and built to last. This role requires a meticulous, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in the quality, integrity, and robustness of the platforms they own. Key Responsibilities: Client & Account Data Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of core client and account operational data, including client profiles, account structures, entitlements, KYC/AML data, and associated reference data across the wealth management ecosystem. Resilient Platform Design: Champion and enforce a design philosophy centered on resiliency. Architect solutions with built-in fault tolerance, graceful degradation, automated recovery, and high availability to ensure continuity of service for critical client and account data. Workflow Platform Management: Lead the development, configuration, and optimization of enterprise workflow solutions (e.g., Pega ) that orchestrate client onboarding, account maintenance, and servicing processes. Ensure workflows are tightly integrated with underlying data platforms. Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, validation, and distribution of client and account data across the wealth management ecosystem. Data Quality & Integrity: Implement and enforce rigorous data quality controls, validation rules, and monitoring to ensure the highest standards of data accuracy and completeness throughout the client lifecycle. API & Data Services: Develop and manage resilient data services and APIs that provide reliable, real-time access to client and account data for consuming applications and downstream systems. Operational Excellence & Measurement: Monitor and manage the health of client and account data systems. Define and track key metrics around system uptime, data freshness, workflow completion rates, and error rates. Act swiftly and decisively to resolve issues. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with upstream data providers, downstream application teams, operations, and compliance to understand data requirements and resolve data-related issues efficiently. Compliance & Controls: Ensure that all data management practices adhere to Citi's data governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements, particularly as they relate to client data, KYC, and AML obligations. Qualifications: Experience: 6+ years of experience in technology roles within financial services, with a strong focus on client and account data management within Wealth Management. Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of client onboarding data flows, KYC/AML data requirements, and account lifecycle management within a wealth management context. Strong familiarity with the data structures and systems that support client and account servicing. Workflow & BPM Experience: Hands-on experience with enterprise workflow and Business Process Management (BPM) platforms, with specific experience in Pega being highly desirable. Proven ability to design and implement end-to-end workflows that integrate seamlessly with operational data systems. Resiliency & Architecture: A strong design mindset with a proven track record of building highly available, fault-tolerant, and recoverable systems. Familiarity with resiliency patterns such as circuit breakers, retry logic, event sourcing, and disaster recovery planning.
