OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Weekend Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and related conditions.This part-time weekend position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering specialized behavioral and medical support in a structured environment.The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, experience working with diverse populations, and a commitment to patient-centered care.Prior experience in crisis intervention, behavior management, and medical documentation is highly valued.This role requires adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality at all times.Responsibilities Monitor and assist clients during weekend hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.Implement behavior management plans tailored to individual needs, including applied behavior analysis techniques when applicable.Administer medications accurately according to prescribed protocols and document medication administration in medical records.Conduct vital signs assessments and monitor physical health indicators regularly.Respond effectively to behavioral crises or emergencies using crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques.Collect data on client behaviors, progress, and incidents for ongoing assessment and reporting purposes.Support clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance.Maintain detailed medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical staff, and special education professionals to coordinate care plans.Assist with intake procedures and behavioral health assessments as needed during weekend shifts.Skills Strong crisis management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.Knowledge of behavior management techniques and applied behavior analysis (ABA).Ability to administer medications safely and accurately; familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.Excellent communication skills for effective documentation and collaboration within healthcare teams.Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and behavioral health support.Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient confidentiality.Ability to collect accurate data for clinical review and treatment planning purposes.Experience in social work or addiction counseling is a plus; familiarity with medical documentation systems is beneficial.This position offers an impactful career opportunity for individuals committed to supporting individuals with complex needs through overnight care that emphasizes safety, stability, and progress.Job Type:Part-time Pay:$16.00 - $20.00 per hour People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
