Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures, ductwork, piping systems, and custom fabrications that meet rigorous safety standards and project specifications. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal and pipe materials. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, drill, bend, and assemble metal parts. Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications. Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy components safely using cranes or forklifts. Prepare materials for welding or assembly by cleaning surfaces and applying appropriate techniques such as soldering or pipe threading. Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety protocols aligned with ASME codes & standards and industry best practices. Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects from start to finish while adhering to project timelines and quality standards. Assist in mechanical assembly processes involving ductwork, structural components, or manufacturing equipment as needed. Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols. Demonstrated expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, welding, and plasma cutting techniques. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication. Hands-on experience operating power tools such as press brakes, grinders, drills, saws, and machining equipment. Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting heavy materials safely using cranes or forklifts. Basic math skills including measurements calculations necessary for accurate fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, assembly processes, or manufacturing systems preferred. Ability to work efficiently on construction sites or manufacturing floors while maintaining high safety standards in accordance with industry codes & standards.
