Welder - Tig

Welder A local Erie company is seeking a Tig Welder. The candidate will be responsible for safely operating welding tools to perform a variety of welding duties under the direction of the Supervisor. The ideal candidate will follow all company procedures and demonstrate the ability to operate manufacturing equipment with a high degree of detail. Responsibilities Read blueprints and instructions and take direction on precise machine operations. Set-up equipment and workspace to insure productivity. Operate equipment safely and properly. Check finished products for accuracy and adjust as necessary. Organize and transport equipment and materials safely. Identify correct weld filler, wire diameter, and other materials needed to fulfil the needs of the project. Keep workspaces neat and orderly. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or general education degree. Previous TIG and MIG welding experience. Ability to read/understand written and spoken direction. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours a day. Willingness to learn the proper procedure for welding materials. Attention to detail.
