Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Welding Specialist, where you will play a vital role in fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components across various construction and manufacturing projects. Duties Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding on diverse materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and piping in accordance with blueprints and schematics Read and interpret detailed technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide fabrication and assembly processes Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate cuts and welds Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Conduct pipe threading, plasma cutting, and sheet metal fabrication to meet project specifications Assist with rigging, mechanical assembly, and the installation of ductwork or structural components on construction sites Maintain strict adherence to ASME codes & standards for welding quality and safety compliance Skills Proven construction site experience with hands-on welding expertise in diverse environments Proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding techniques; experience with welding preferred Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery effectively Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation basics, and forklift handling for material movement Mechanical aptitude with understanding of pipe threading, machining processes, soldering, and assembly tasks Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing welding practices; ability to ensure compliance at all times Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks Ability to work safely while operating power tools such as plasma cutters or press brake machines in a construction or manufacturing setting This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute their welding expertise within a collaborative team environment.
