Job Description
Wellness Manager A senior living community in the Aurora, Colorado area is seeking a Wellness Manager to support the daily operations of the resident care team. This role is ideal for a licensed nurse with senior living, assisted living, memory care, or long-term care experience who enjoys leading teams and ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate care. The Wellness Manager will help oversee resident care services, support caregivers and medication technicians, assist with care coordination, and partner with community leadership to ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism, dignity, and respect. Key Responsibilities Support the daily operations of the wellness/resident care department. Assist with supervising, coaching, and supporting caregivers and medication technicians. Help ensure resident care plans are followed accurately and consistently. Monitor resident needs and communicate changes in condition to appropriate leadership, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate. Assist with staff scheduling, shift coverage, and daily assignments. Support medication management processes in accordance with community policies and state guidelines. Help maintain accurate documentation, charting, and resident records. Participate in resident assessments, service plan updates, and care meetings as needed. Promote a positive, team-oriented environment focused on resident dignity, safety, and quality of life. Partner with community leadership to ensure compliance with state regulations and internal standards. Respond to resident, family, and team member concerns in a timely and professional manner. Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing development of wellness team members. Serve as a hands-on leader and resource for the wellness team during daily operations. Qualifications Active LPN or RN license in the state of Colorado required. Prior experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar healthcare setting preferred. Previous leadership, care coordination, charge nurse, supervisor, or wellness leadership experience strongly preferred. Experience supporting caregivers, medication technicians, or direct care teams preferred. Knowledge of resident care plans, assessments, documentation, and medication management practices. Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to lead by example and support a team in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care. Must be dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call support as needed.
