Wellness Sales Associate + Client Experience Guide Aligned DC | Washington, DC Aligned is looking for someone who genuinely lives wellness, understands cannabis, and knows how to connect with people in a grounded, real way. This is NOT a passive retail position. This is a wellness-focused sales role that requires presence, emotional intelligence, communication skills, accountability, and the ability to educate and guide clients with integrity. We are building a space rooted in mindfulness, wellness, cannabis education, healing, and community. We need team members who naturally embody those values — not just talk about them. What We’re Looking For You should Have a genuine personal wellness practice (yoga, meditation, fitness, herbalism, healing work, mindfulness, etc.) Be knowledgeable about cannabis and comfortable educating clients on products, effects, cannabinoids, terpenes, and intentional use Understand how to SELL while maintaining integrity and care Be confident upselling products, wellness services, memberships, and events Be comfortable booking wellness consultations, classes, and sessions Be emotionally mature and capable of clear, direct, respectful communication Be reliable, accountable, and able to take feedback without defensiveness Have strong customer service and know how to make people feel welcomed, safe, and seen Be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and present Handle cash and transactions responsibly and accurately Understand professionalism, punctuality, and follow-through Know how to maintain boundaries while still being warm and personable Be proactive and solution-oriented instead of waiting to be told every step This Position Is NOT For Someone Who: Wants to stand around on their phone Avoids sales conversations Needs constant micromanagement Cannot communicate clearly or consistently Takes feedback personally instead of using it for growth Wants a “chill dispensary job” without performance expectations Struggles with reliability, urgency, or accountability Performance Expectations Aligned operates with a structured performance system. Team members are expected to meet monthly goals related to: Sales performance Average order value Wellness mentions and bookings Client engagement Canvassing/community outreach Communication and team participation Overall contribution to the client experience This role requires both heart AND execution. Responsibilities Guide clients through cannabis purchases intentionally and professionally Educate clients on products and wellness offerings Upsell products, classes, memberships, and services with integrity Assist with wellness events and community activations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the space Participate in outreach and neighborhood relationship-building Support daily operational tasks and inventory processes Maintain accurate client profiles and transaction handling Contribute positively to team culture and energy Preferred Experience Cannabis industry experience preferred Retail sales experience strongly preferred Wellness industry experience preferred Experience with yoga, herbalism, bodywork, Reiki, fitness, mindfulness, or healing modalities is a plus About Aligned Aligned is a wellness-focused cannabis dispensary and healing space centered around intentional living, community, mindfulness, education, and care.
