Williams County Sports & Community Photographer Love being at the ball diamond, the football field, or trackside on a Friday night? We're looking for a part-time community and high school sports photographer to cover Williams County, Ohio (Montpelier, Bryan, West Unity, Stryker, Pioneer, Edgerton, and surrounding communities). A note on what this role is: This is a part-time, supplemental-income position with a small, family-owned community newspaper. It's a great fit for someone who already enjoys attending local games and community events and wants a reason to stay engaged while earning a little extra along the way. Your photos will appear in print, on our website, and in homes across the county. The pay is fair for the hours worked, but this is not a full-time photography career — it's a steady part-time role for someone who values their community as much as their camera. The Details $13 per hour to start, with advancement after probationary period 4–10 hours per week during sports seasons; additional hours available Mileage reimbursement Heaviest in fall, winter, and spring (football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, track, soccer, etc.); lighter in summer Most editing and uploading done from your home office Additional opportunities available for candidates with strong writing skills (Microsoft Word, professional-level writing) Ideal Candidate: Genuinely enjoys being at local games and community events Owns reliable photography equipment (DSLR or mirrorless body with a lens capable of low-light indoor and fast-action sports shooting) Can take crisp, in-focus, non-blurry photos Reliable and on time — events run on a fixed clock Lives in or near Williams County with reliable transportation Job Types: Part-time, Contract Schedule: Weeknights and weekends as events dictate Work Location: In person at events; remote for editing and uploads Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour Benefits Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
