Position Summary Proletariat Wine Company is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Tasting Room Associate to join our team in Garden City. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, promoting our wines, and supporting daily tasting room operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about wine, hospitality-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide an engaging, educational tasting experience Pour and describe wines accurately, sharing knowledge about varietals, production methods, and the Proletariat brand story Drive wine sales, wine club memberships, and merchandise purchases Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, bar area, and guest spaces Process transactions accurately using POS systems Assist with opening and closing procedures Support events, private tastings, and special promotions as needed Restock inventory, glassware, and supplies Ensure compliance with all Idaho alcohol service laws and company policies Qualifications Previous hospitality, retail, or tasting room experience preferred Passion for wine; willingness to learn and continuously expand product knowledge Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong sales mindset with a focus on customer experience Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player Must be 21 years of age or older Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Schedule Requirements Availability for both weekdays and weekends is required Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and special events Compensation & Perks Hourly wage (DOE) + tips Employee discounts on wine and merchandise Opportunities for wine education and industry exposure Eligibility for 401(k) plan after 6 months of employment Fun, collaborative work environment in the heart of Garden City’s wine scene Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible schedule Experience Hospitality: 1 year (Preferred) Shift availability Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
