Women's Health Physician | Full-Time | Clinic Setting Pay: $220,000.00 - $260,000.00 per year NHSC Loan Repayment Program eligible - get up to $100k! 20k sign on bonus!!! New Bedford, MA - ONLY 30 MINUTES FROM PROVIDENCE! Position Overview Join our team at a mission-driven non-profit serving the local South West MA area. Beautiful small town and amazing team! Provide comprehensive women's health care including patient assessment, diagnosis, prenatal/postpartum care, family planning, and patient education to diverse, underserved communities. Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week) | Monday-Friday Requirements Licensure & Certification: ✓ MD or DO degree with active/current Massachusetts medical license ✓ Board Certification in Family Medicine ✓ BLS/ACLS certification required (must maintain) ✓ DEA license required Experience: ✓ 1-3 years physician experience in women's health, OB/GYN, or family medicine ✓ Experience with prenatal care, family planning, and reproductive health ✓ Proficiency in women's health procedures (IUD insertion, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy) ✓ FQHC or community health experience valued Skills: ✓ Epic EMR or electronic health records experience ✓ Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese preferred (not required) ✓ Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities ✓ Patient education and culturally sensitive communication skills Key Responsibilities Clinical Care: Comprehensive women's health evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning Provide prenatal, postpartum, and well-woman care Manage acute and chronic gynecological conditions Perform women's health procedures: IUD insertion/removal, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, Nexplanon insertion Order and interpret diagnostics: ultrasounds, labs, pap smears, STI testing Prescribe medications and develop treatment protocols Patient Management: Provide family planning counseling and contraceptive management Develop comprehensive care plans with follow-up recommendations Provide patient/family education on diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care Coordinate referrals to OB/GYN specialists, maternal-fetal medicine when indicated Address social determinants of health and provide trauma-informed care Serve as patient advocate ensuring quality, accessible care Documentation & Operations: Document thoroughly in electronic health record (Epic preferred) Review and interpret laboratory, imaging, and pathology results Collaborate with nursing, medical assistants, and care coordination team Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to women's health staff Ensure compliance with FQHC, state, and federal regulations Participate in quality improvement initiatives Ideal Candidate Empathetic listener who identifies patient needs holistically Culturally sensitive provider committed to health equity Patient champion advocating for accessible reproductive healthcare Team leader collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary staff Organized multitasker managing diverse patient populations Tech-savvy with EMR proficiency Passionate about serving underserved communities Benefits Package Work-Life Balance: Full-time Monday-Friday schedule Minimal weekend/evening coverage Weather closure policy Generous PTO: 23 days + 12 paid holidays Paid CME time off Competitive Compensation: $220,000-$250,000 annual salary NHSC Loan Repayment Program eligible (up to $100,000) Malpractice insurance coverage (full) CME allowance Outstanding benefits package including health, dental, vision Retirement plan with employer contribution Tuition reimbursement No-cost life insurance & short-term disability About Our Clinic Federally Qualified Health Center providing comprehensive care including primary care, urgent care, women's health , pediatrics, behavioral health, addiction treatment, and dental services to diverse communities.
