Job Description
Looking for someone to argue at workers comp hearings on behalf of injured workers.Great opportunity for an attorney to cut his/her teeth in doing real, meaningful legal work in an interesting area of law.Requirements:LICENSED to PRACTICE LAW in the State of Ohio.If you don't have your license, you will not be considered for this position.Provide your Attorney Registration Number.No prior experience in Ohio Workers Comp law is necessary; we'll teach you everything Comfortable speaking and making legal arguments Job details:Prepare, attend and make arguments before the Ohio Industrial Commission.Expect to attend at least two to three administrative hearings everyday.Review a claim file in preparation for the hearing; obtain evidence for the hearing.Prepare clients for their hearings.Position is in office, office hours are roughly 830 AM to 5PM Most of the hearings will be undertaken by phone; very rarely you may be required to take the hearings in person at the Industrial Commission Required Disclosures:Provide any past or present investigations into legal malpractice and professional ethic violations.Failure to disclose will disqualify you for consideration for this position.Compensation:Hourly pay, 40 hours a week, no overtime:rates from $ 28 to $ 31 an hour Job Type:Full-time Pay:$28.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Benefits:Health insurance Paid time off Application Question(s):Supreme Court Attorney Registration Number License/Certification:Licensed to Practice Law in Ohio (Required) Work Location:In person.
