BERKSHIRE HILLS REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Great Barrington Stockbridge West Stockbridge 05/14/26 Position: World Languages Teacher with French Focus - Grades 5-8 W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School The W.E.B. Du Bois Regional Middle School is looking for exceptional teachers to fill openings for next year. Exceptional Candidates will: Love working with middle schoolers . Dedicate themselves to a small advisory group of students with a focus on building growth mindsets, infusing social-emotional learning, implementing restorative practices, and connecting families to their child’s learning. Insist on building diverse and inclusive classrooms where all students can learn from one another and thrive. Collaborate with colleagues to build authentic interdisciplinary units of study that culminate in exceptional student work products. Commit to creating a student-centered environment - where all students are seen, heard, and valued . Commit to frequent family/parent/guardian communications via telephone, e-mail, and in-person meetings. Have passions outside the classroom and be eager to share their interests with children, families, and colleagues. Believe in the importance of connecting fieldwork, leadership education, and outdoor education into the curriculum. And most importantly, an exceptional candidate will approach the challenges a school in a changing and diversifying community will inevitably face with a positive outlook focused on finding solutions and solving problems! Requirements: Massachusetts Teaching Certification, or certifiable in area to which the teacher is assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in the general area to which the teacher is assigned. Demonstrated knowledge of, concern for, and success in work with students of varying needs, talents, and abilities; Demonstrated success in communicating effectively and constructively with students, colleagues, and parents in the development and delivery of child-centered instruction. Demonstrated success in developing engaging instruction and strong academic skills around middle school content aligned with the Massachusetts Frameworks and Standards in designated areas of instruction. Demonstrated success in working in teams and co-teaching with various collaborators. Other qualifications as established by the District.
