Yard AssociateFull-Time Monday-Friday (No Weekends!)Location:QXO - Carl's Building Supply, Port Hadlock, WA If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a dependable team, this role is for you.As a Yard Associate at QXO, you'll play a critical role in keeping our lumber yard running efficiently while delivering excellent service to customers and drivers.About QXO QXO is building the future of building products distribution.We are focused on combining great people, innovative technology, and a customer-first mindset to deliver exceptional service across every location.About the Role We are seeking a safety-minded and reliable Yard Associate to support daily yard operations.This is a hands-on, outdoor position working with lumber and building materials, forklifts, and other yard equipment.Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay:$21.00per hour (DOE) Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Employee Discounts Paid Time Off & Holidays Career Growth Opportunities Key Responsibilities Provide excellent service to customers and delivery drivers in the yard Safely load and unload building materials using forklifts and yard equipment Build, stage, and verify loads according to delivery schedules and customer orders Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns Assist with receiving, stocking, and inventory control activities Support general yard upkeep and light facility maintenance Operate company vehicles for local pickups/deliveries as needed Follow all company safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in yard, warehouse, or retail operations (building materials preferred) Forklift or heavy equipment experience required Strong customer service and communication skills Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to work safely around moving equipment and active yard operations Why Join QXO?
