Yardman Benefits: 401(k), 401(k) matching, dental insurance, employee discounts, health insurance, paid time off, vision insurance Job Summary: The Yardman is responsible for assisting the Yard Foreman in maintaining yard inventory and filling customer orders from the yard. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Help every customer in a courteous manner and load all orders properly to match the yard ticket. Keep inventory neatly in the proper spot and leveled. Sweep, clean, and organize all sheds. Pick up all trash around the yard. At times, man the yard gate. Check orders to make sure that the inventory leaving is the same as the yard ticket. Yard is secure and safe (i.e. no broken fences, gate locked at closing). Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements such as yard hats, gloves, goggles, glasses. Follow uniform policies such as high visibility vests and shirts while working. Training - Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn yard processes and heavy machinery. Capacity to take direction. Excellent organizational skills. Education and Experience: Highschool Diploma or equivalent. Previous yard experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
