Job Description
Youth Program Co-Facilitator - Young Friends 400 Hours per Year PART TIME GENERAL SUMMARY : The Young Friends Program Co-Facilitator collaborates closely with their counterpart to create a welcoming and spiritually enriching environment for 9th-12th grade participants. Together, they cultivate a strong sense of community, fostering meaningful relationships among high school-age Quakers and their families while supporting their integration into the wider Yearly Meeting. This role requires harmonious collaboration with the co-facilitator to ensure seamless coordination of program activities, mutual support, and the nurturing of a spiritually engaged and inclusive community. Through thoughtful leadership and shared responsibility, the co-facilitator helps create spaces where young Friends can explore their faith, deepen connections, and actively participate in the broader Quaker tradition. Reports to the Youth Engagement Coordinator. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Program Planning & Implementation : Works in partnership with the Youth Engagement Coordinator to design and implement engaging programs and logistics for gatherings that nurture the spiritual and personal growth of Young Friends. Youth Empowerment & Spiritual Development : Supports the individual and collective spiritual grounding of youth by fostering an environment that encourages their full participation, growth, and leadership within the program and the wider PYM community Collaboration & Program Integration: Works closely with the Youth Engagement Coordinator and other Youth Program Facilitators to ensure alignment, mutual support, and a seamless flow between various youth programs.
