Job Overview Renner Dance is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and nurturing dance instructor to lead our recreational dance program for students ages 3–18, beginning in Summer 2026. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping young dancers build confidence, technique, and a lifelong love of dance. About Renner Dance Renner Dance is a leading competitive youth dance studio that has been serving families in the Chapel Hill area for more than a decade. We offer high-quality dance instruction in a positive and supportive environment where students are encouraged to grow both as dancers and as individuals. Our recreational program serves students of all experience levels, from preschool dancers taking their first class to teens dancing for fun, fitness, and personal enrichment. Key Responsibilities Teach weekly recreational dance classes for students ages 3–18 Lead summer camps and summer classes Teach multiple styles including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, and creative movement Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Provide constructive feedback that supports each student’s growth and confidence Prepare students for our annual recital Offer private lessons to students seeking individualized instruction Communicate professionally with parents and studio staff Arrive on time and prepared for each class Qualifications Prior experience teaching dance to children and teenagers Strong classroom management skills Ability to engage and motivate students of varying ages and skill levels Professional, dependable, and enthusiastic Passion for working with young dancers Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching preschool and early childhood classes Training in multiple dance styles Degree in dance or related field Acrobatic Arts certification (for acro instructors) CPR and First Aid certification Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid training Professional development assistance Travel reimbursement Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: youth dance teaching: 5 years (Required) Language: English (Required) Location: Chapel Hill, NC 27517 (Required) Ability to Commute: Chapel Hill, NC 27517 (Required) Work Location: In person
