Job Description
Trinity Lutheran Church is seeking a full-time Youth Director to lead and grow our children's, youth, and family ministry.This position partners closely with the pastor(s), Board of Education, staff, and volunteers to nurture faith formation from early childhood through high school in a vibrant, Christ-centered community.Position Overview The Youth Director provides vision, leadership, and coordination for faith formation ministries serving children, youth, and families.This role includes curriculum planning, volunteer leadership, worship support, program development, and strong communication with families and the congregation.The Youth Director supports lifelong discipleship and encourages active participation in the life of the church.Primary Responsibilities Lead and oversee faith formation ministries for children, youth, and families (pre-school through high school).Recruit, train, support, and encourage volunteers for educational and ministry programs.Select, plan, and implement age-appropriate curriculum with Board of Education approval.Coordinate milestone ministries, including First Communion, 3rd Grade Bible presentation, Confirmation, Senior Sunday, and scholarships.Plan and lead youth programming, retreats, service opportunities, intergenerational events, and church-wide activities.Collaborate with pastor(s) and staff to support worship, including Wednesday night programming and youth worship leadership.Coordinate summer programming such as Vacation Bible School and promote Lutheran camp opportunities.Organize participation in the National ELCA Youth Gathering, including fundraising and logistics.Communicate regularly with families, youth, volunteers, and church leadership through newsletters, email, and social media.Participate in staff meetings, Board of Education meetings, synod networks, and other assigned administrative responsibilities.Qualifications Experience in children's, youth, and/or family ministry, education, or a related field.Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers.Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.Commitment to Lutheran theology and faith development within the ELCA tradition.Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and church leadership.Pay:From $45,000.00 per year Benefits:Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location:In person.
